Working with Glyncoch Community Partnership we built a randomly weaved willow dome at the opening of their community garden on May 14th 2011. Having a large pile of different coloured willow rods to play with really inspired the children (and adults too) to come up with some strange and wonderful shapes in the walls of the dome. Although I did notice the area of wall nearest the piles of rods got most attention with it being several inches thicker than the rest.
The community garden has been reclaimed from an area of wasteland and members of the local community have been involved in making all of the features in the garden.
